…And some of you (quite a few of you, according to the emails) may be wondering: What the #@$^%@ happened to the 2005 Volvo 1800 calendar?

Well, to be honest: not much. Apparently, my call for entries came WAY too late in the year (October), and while I received several great shots of 1800s, too few of them were actually "print quality" (i.e., most were low-resolution digital pictures that may look fine on a desktop or cell phone, but when printed on a four-color press, they ended up looking like something published on a Lite-Brite.

Believe me, I TRIED to make the photos work, but in the end, I decided that I'd rather publish NO calendar then produce a crappy calendar; after all, our beloved 1800 deserves a lot better.

Meanwhile, consider this the "unofficial" call for entries for a 2006 calendar: Start taking glamour shots of your 1800s now (and send 'em in, please!)! An official announcement will be coming soon (No, really — this time I mean it!)

Heck, if we get enough high-quality, high-resolution images before June, we might be able to get an 18-month, July-December calendar out in time for the summer!

Stay tuned (yet again) for details!
