Water pump should be here today
Just checked the UPS tracking site, and it looks like my new water pump should be here this afternoon.
Sadly, PartsAmerica couldn't find the gaskets, so I guess I'll be making those myself. Regardless, I may just be driving the Heater again by the end of this weekend! Woohoo!

I hope you don’t think this is insulting…. If you have been thinking parts are not available through Volvo dealers you might be surprised. I know I was.
At least up until a couple of years ago dealers could get (certainly didn’t stock) a wide variety of parts for the 1800. There is also a race-quality parts selection (goes by some name I’ve forgotten) for clutches, etc. that may be a source…also direct from Volvo.
I just stumbled on your site…. I love it.
I’m thinking of trying to find a ‘68 1800s that was in my family since new, until I sold it 11 years ago. The trail is cold…don’t remember the neighbor’s name I sold it to, don’t have a VIN #.
